BUS passengers in York are being asked to say what they think about proposed changes to the city’s public transport network next month.

A public forum will be held at York Explore café in Museum Street on Friday, February 8, when residents will have the chance to quiz York’s bus firms and City of York Council transport officers about the city’s services.

There will also be a question-and-answer session with a panel including Coun Dave Merrett, the council’s cabinet member for transport, following the forum. The council will be consulting on specific service changes, including tenders for new contracts to run the Nos 21 and 35, changes to the routes of Nos 15, 24 and 26, and plans to end Sunday and early evening services on the No 14 route.

The forum takes place between 10am and 12.30pm. A Q&A session will follow in the library’s Marriott Room, between 12.30pm and 1.30pm. No pre-booking is required.
