BOSSES in our region “don’t care” about the health of their employees and must do more to boost health and morale in the workplace, according to the British Heart Foundation.
The charity said more than a fifth of workers in Yorkshire and the Humber do not take a lunch break, while nearly a third resorted to chocolate as a pick-me-up to help them get through the working day, and 39 per cent turned to coffee for a boost.
The charity released the results in the run up to National Heart Month, to encourage people to sign up to its free Health At Work programme and wear red on February 1 to raise funds and boost morale in the workplace.
