Investigation into body found on riverbank continues

POLICE are still unable to reveal anything about the body which was found at the side of the River Ouse on Sunday morning.
Despite a post-mortem examination talking place on Monday evening, North Yorkshire Police would say yesterday only that “the investigation was ongoing”.
The age, gender and identify of the dead person, who was discovered partially submerged in mud at Acaster Malbis, still remain a mystery.
A walker discovered the body at about 11am on Sunday
