POLICE are appealing for help finding a York man who has gone missing from home.
Jeremy Malarkey, 49, was last seen at 8.30am on Tuesday at home in Lancaster Way, Clifton. He was reported missing by his son-in-law at about 6pm that day.
Officers have been unable to trace Mr Malarkey and are now asking the public for help.
He is described as white, about 6ft 2ins tall, with a stocky build, green eyes and grey shaved hair.
He has the letter ‘J’ tattooed on his right arm. He is believed to be wearing dark blue denim jeans with a grey coat which has two pockets on the front.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said officers were growing concerned for Mr Malarkey’s welfare due to health issues and the length of time since he was last seen.
Inspector Dave Hall, of York police, said: “I am appealing for people in and around York to be alert and let us know if they see anyone matching the description of Mr Malarkey as soon as possible.
“His family and the police are obviously concerned for his safety and we need to establish where he is as quickly as we can.
“I am also appealing to Mr Malarkey himself to get in touch if he sees this appeal and let us and his family know that he is ok.”
If you can help, phone police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
