Woman hurt in ring-road crash

A WOMAN was taken to hospital with head injuries today, following a two-car smash on York’s outer ring road near Copmanthorpe.
The accident involved a white Hyundai and a blue VW Polo, and happened at 2.40pm. It resulted in the blocking of one lane of the A1237 near Askham Bryan.
Police described the woman’s injuries as “minor” and said the road was clear by 4.30pm.
