AN ACCOUNTANT from York is still missing two weeks after abandoning his car in the city centre and jumping over the wall of a bridge.
Chris Baker, from Albemarle Road, was last seen when he stopped his grey Renault Megane on Skeldergate Bridge at about 7.15am on Thursday, December 20, and gestured to a woman in the car behind.
The 29-year-old then leapt over the bridge wall towards Tower Gardens, on the banks of the River Ouse.
North Yorkshire Police searched the river last Friday, although further searches of the Ouse have not been possible since because of high water levels, but the force says there are still no clues about Mr Baker’s disappearance.
At the time he vanished, he was driving to his job as an accountant for the City Healthcare Partnership at Hull Royal Infirmary.
He is white, slim, about 5ft 9ins tall, with curly, dark-brown hair and was wearing a striped work shirt when he was last seen. Anybody with information should phone 101 and ask for the North Yorkshire Police control room.
