AT least 16 events are already being planned in York to mark International Women’s Week.

Co-ordinator Sue Lister said the event, which runs from March 2 to 10, would include a nurturing afternoon by holistic therapists at Miller’s Yard and a creative writing workshop at Dringhouses library by Pauline Kirk.

“The Yorkshire Museum of Farming will offer The Daily Grind: baking through history for grandmothers, daughters and grandchildren, with male members of the family welcome too,” Sue said.

The deadline for the programme is Friday, January 18. The event form can be found at yorkwomen.org.uk or phone 01904 488870.
