PLANS for six new flats on the site of a former car park in York could be approved next week. Experian Developments Ltd is looking to build a three-storey block in Holgate Road, saying the scheme would “fill a gap” in the street.
But its application will go before a City of York Council planning committee after Micklegate councillor Julie Gunnell raised concerns over its size and potential impact on neighbouring residents.
Council planning officers have recommended the development should go ahead, after saying it would help meet housing demand in the city and would not harm the appearance of the area or cause problems for people living nearby.
