East Yorkshire councillor Paul Robinson appointed as deputy by new Humberside Police Commissioner

THE new Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Grove has appointed East Yorkshire councillor Paul Robinson as his official deputy.

Coun Robinson represents the Howdenshire ward of East Riding of Yorkshire Council. Commissioner Grove said he had considered the “robust, considered challenges” from the Humberside Police and Crime Panel to the appointment before making his decision which he described as a “significant judgment call for me”. He said he needed someone in whom he had “total trust and confidence”.
