York flood watch ends
10:19am Thursday 27th December 2012 in News
YORK is officially off flood watch after the Environment Agency lifted its flood warnings on the city yesterday morning.
The flood warning on Stutton on the River Wharfe near Tadcaster has also been lifted. Although the Met Office is warning of rain sweeping the country during the rest of the week, the Environment Ageny says there is a “very low risk” of flooding in North Yorkshire and York.
Flood warnings remain in place at Naburn and the River Derwent for Stamford Bridge, Thorganby and other places near to them.
