AN “INCOHERENT” man was rescued from a York river this morning.
Firefighters from York and Acomb fire stations were called to the River Ouse, near Skeldergate Bridge, at about 9.25am after a man was seen going into the water 20 minutes earlier. They used water rescue equipment and wading poles to allow him to reach the bank.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the man was in his late 20s and paramedics treated him at the scene.
