A MAN whose disappearance in the centre of York led to a police search has been found safe and well.
North Yorkshire Police issued an appeal for information yesterday after Duncan McKeith, 39, of Cygnet Street, had not been seen for more than 24 hours.
He had last been seen in George Hudson Street in York at about 2.20pm on Friday and the force had said it was concerned for his safety as he may have spent Friday night in the open during bad weather.
However, police have this morning confirmed that Mr McKeith was found safe at his home just before midnight on Saturday and have thanked everybody who helped with the appeal.
