TWO former York nursery workers who were arrested as part of an investigation into the death of a three-year-old girl have been re-bailed by police.
Lydia Bishop, of South Bank, died in September after being found on a slide in the playground at York College Day Nursery, with a rope around her neck. Desperate efforts to revive her were in vain.
Two members of staff were later arrested and interviewed as part of inquiries into the circumstances surrounding Lydia’s death.
North Yorkshire Police said they answered police bail last night but bail was then renewed to a date in the New Year.
The nursery closed down after the tragedy and the college subsequently decided to make the closure permanent.
