UPDATE: Sunday, 12.12pm
A SPOKESWOMAN for North Yorkshire Police has confirmed Lewis was arrested in the Clifton Moor area on Saturday afternoon, and is due to appear before York Magistrates' Court on Monday.
POLICE are hunting a York man wanted for breaking the terms of his prison release.
Adrian Paul Lewis, 38, whose last known address was Tostig Avenue, Acomb, has had his release licence revoked by the Ministry for Justice for alleged further offending.
Lewis was originally sentenced to 18 months in prison in November last year for burglary and criminal damage.
Following his early release on licence, he has been arrested and charged on several occasions for alleged thefts from shops and fraud by false representation regarding a prescription. He was due to appear at York Magistrates Court later this month.
Lewis has also failed to attend compulsory meetings with the Probation Service. He is now subject to a fixed 28-day recall to prison and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
He is described as white with short grey hair, 5ft 4ins tall, of medium build with brown eyes.
