THE A64 eastbound has reopened between Grimston Bar and the Fulford Road interchange after work to recover a crashed lorry.
An HGV crashed with a van and the lorry ended up down an embankment on the same stretch of road at about 12.15pm yesterday. The lorry driver was freed from his cab shaken but unharmed.
This morning both lanes of the A64 eastbound were shut at 9.45 and remained closed until 1pm between the A19 Fulford Interchange and the Grimston Bar Interchange.
The closure caused queuing traffic and diversions were in place via the A19.
