A64 re-opens after three-car crash

The A64 has re-opened following a three-car pile-up which closed a stretch of the road this morning.

The A64 westbound was closed from Towthorpe Moor Lane to Barr Lane due to the accident shortly after 8am.

Police said a 53-year-old man suffered minor injuries in the crash. He was treated at the scene. Nobody else was hurt.

Motorists experienced lengthy delays between Malton and the Hogrove Roundabout.

Thr road has now re-opened and traffic is easing.
