TWO police officers escaped injury when their car skidded off the road and flipped on to its side while responding to a 999 call today.
The crash happened in Gateforth New Road in Brayton, near the Selby Bypass, at about 1.30am, as the officers were on their way to a house in the Selby area.
The damage to the car was mainly to the bodywork, said a spokesman for North Yorkshire Police.
He said: "The driver and passenger were checked by paramedics at the scene. However, neither of them was injured as a result of the incident. Another patrol car was dispatched to the emergency call at a property in the Selby area.”
