TWO horses have died and a man injured in a collision on the A64 in York in the early hours of this morning.
The man was driving eastbound along the A64 when the people carrier he was driving collided with the horses at Grimston Bar, police said.
The two horses died as a result of the crash at 12.30am and the driver, who is from Strensall, was injured. His injuries are not thought to be serious, a police spokesman said.
The road was blocked until 3am to await the work of a specialist recovery team.
The Fiat Multipla was badly damaged in the crash, police said.
