IT was a case of “second time lucky” for firefighters who rescued this cat from a tree in Holgate.
The fire brigade were called out to rescue the tabby cat at Beech Avenue in Holgate where resident David Williams took this photo.
Mr Williams said the cat had been up the tree for more than 36 hours and had survived the previous nights stormy weather. A previous rescue attempt on Thursday evening had to be called off due to bad weather. The cat was brought down yesterday and taken to the RSPCA to be chipped.
