A WELL-KNOWN face has dropped into a York primary school to open its new playground.
TV presenter Harry Gration cut a ribbon to open the playground at Yearsley Grove Primary School, which boasts two football pitches, netball courts and climbing equipment.
Head teacher Eve Morris said: “The children were so excited to see Harry, they could not believe he was on the television that night and the night before. He was so lovely and joined in a game of football. They take so much pride in their school.
‘‘It’s about having an environment they can look after and enjoy and it lets them get out and enjoy the fresh air.”
