THUGS left a man concussed and bruised when they robbed him of his mobile phone in York.

North Yorkshire Police are looking for witnesses to the assault, which happened in Haughton Road at about 8.10pm last Wednesday.

They walked together until Haughton Road, where the two men attacked the victim and stole his iPhone. He was left suffering from concussion, and sustained cuts and bruises to his face and arms.

Detective Constable Kendra Bamber, of York CID, said: “This was clearly a very unpleasant experience for the victim who was fortunate not to be more seriously injured.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the area at the time to contact the police or Crimestoppers with information. I would also like to hear from you if you know the men responsible for this incident.”
