A YORK MP has welcomed a Government announcement that the Post Office will continue providing front-office counter services for the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
The new contract will run for seven years, with an option to extend for up to three years.
York Outer MP Julian Sturdy said: “This was something I know local post offices and constituents were very concerned about, so I lobbied on this issue and I am very pleased vital services will remain available in local communities.”
