Pavement café plan set for approval

A CITY-CENTRE food shop in York is set to be allowed to keep its pavement café open at a meeting this week.

The owners of the West Cornwall Pasty Company, on Parliament Street, saw their original temporary two-year permission for the outdoor eating area expire in April, and their application for it to stay in place is recommended for approval when City of York Council meets on Thursday.

The cafe operates until 6pm Monday to Saturday and 4pm on Sundays.

Hmm - iffy grammar. According to this, it will be allowed to keep its pavement cafe open only during the meeting this week. Or do you mean it will be open for longer, at other times, in the future?
