A YORK charity shop has appealed for help in finding a classic vinyl Beatles record which has been stolen.
Chris Hall, deputy manager of the Oxfam shop in Goodramgate, said the Help! LP, worth about £15, was shoplifted last Thursday.
“The main distinguishing feature is that the ‘stereo’ logo in the top-right of the front cover is hollow, which marks it as being an early pressing,” he said.
“Also the catalogue number of PCS 3071 is printed on the top right of the back cover, which differs from many editions of the record.”
He said such thefts were very unusual at the shop, and he asked anyone who was offered the for sale or knew anything about its whereabouts to phone 01904 659001 or email oxfamshopf0635@oxfam.org.uk
