York Festival of Remembrance tickets available
9:09am Friday 2nd November 2012 in News
ONLY 200 tickets are still available for this year’s York Festival of Remembrance, which takes place at 7pm on Sunday at the Barbican.
Organiser Ted Griffiths said people who have not bought them beforehand should be able to purchase tickets on the door, at a cost of between £14 and £16.
He said the event would feature acts including the Band of the Kings Division, appearing for the first time, York Philharmonic Male Voice Choir and choirgirl Isabel Suckling, while some 24 standards of the Royal British Legion (RBL) and other regimental standards would be paraded.
Meanwhile, the RBL is preparing to rededicate the Garden of Remembrance in Duncombe Place at 10.30am tomorrow when members of the public will be invited to lay small wooden crosses in memory of loved ones who have passed on, with the Golden Rail Band playing.
