YORK’S “Ghostfinder General” is to spend Hallowe’en night alone in one of the city’s most haunted buildings to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Rachel Lacy is staging the spooky sleepover in the Stonegate house despite admitting only ten minutes on her own in the building – which will be open for public daytime tours – makes her nervous.

She will be locked inside from 1.30am until 7am over Hallowe’en as part of the York Ghost Festival.
