Injured man airlifted to hospital in North Yorkshire

AIR ambulance crews were called in to help a man who suffered a serious leg injury in a North Yorkshire field today.

Paramedics requested the help of the Great North Air Ambulance at about 12.35pm after they struggled to reach the man due to the muddy conditions at Fylingthorpe.

He was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough and is in a stable condition.
