New appointment at University of York

THE University of York has made a major new appointment.
It has named Dr Matthew Taylor as director of the York Health Economics Consortium (YHEC) following the retirement of Prof John Hutton. Dr Taylor said: “I’m looking forward to taking on the role, and maintaining YHEC’s unique position as a deliverer of knowledge transfer from the academic sector to industry and healthcare decision makers in the UK and abroad.”
Established in 1986 as a wholly-owned company of the University of York, YHEC is now a leader in providing consultancy and research in health economics to the NHS.
