A64 York Outer Road reopens completely after accidents closed it in both directions

Traffic is moving again on the A64 York Outer Ring Road after it wasblocked in both directions by separate accidents.
Firefighters dealt with a car that caught fire at 3.35pm on the westbound carriageway between Fulford and Grimston Bar.
Five minutes earlier a car on the eastbound carriageway between Fulford and Copmanthorpe collided with the central reservation near York Racecourse. The driver is believed to have suffered head and facial injuries.
Traffic built up in both directions and the road was briefly closed while the emergency services dealt with both accidents. It has now reopened.
