YORK’S ice rink is to return for a third year at the city’s Designer Outlet.

The Winter Wonderland will be at the outlet from November 24 until January 6, with a 30ft Christmas tree in the centre as well as an illuminated reindeer forest.

In addition there will be a fun fair and festive food and drink stalls, along with Santa’s grotto.

Mike Thomas, centre manager, said: “Once a year, we aim to create the ultimate festive destination for all of the family to enjoy. The centre provides an incredible Christmas shopping experience, with a fantastic variety of luxury brands.

“Working with The Ice Factor to produce such a wonderful atmosphere guarantees shoppers a fun day out to get them in the festive spirit.

Last year, the ice rink at the centre saw over 45,000 visitors and we expect even more this festive season.”

The Ice Factor will be open from 9.30am until 9.15pm daily except Christmas Day.
