Appeal over North Yorkshire crash

POLICE are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision near Boroughbridge.
A grey Vauxhall Corsa being driven by an 82-year-old man from Easingwold and a silver Land Rover Discovery driven by a 35-year-old woman from Dishforth were involved in the crash at the junction of Church Lane and Boroughbridge Road, Kirby Hill.
The driver of the Corsa was taken to York District Hospital where he remains in a stable condition. The woman driving the Land Rover was taken to Harrogate District Hospital where she was treated for serious but non life threatening injuries before being released.
The collision happened at 2.15pm on Sunday.
Traffic Constable Steve Wood said: “If you witnessed the collision or saw either of the vehicles just prior to the incident please contact the police as soon as possible.”
