THE future of York’s Newgate Market is the subject of a major consultation involving traders and shoppers.
City of York Council is asking for views on how it can help the market flourish over the coming years.
Coun Sonja Crisp, cabinet member for Leisure, Culture and Tourism said: “York’s market has operated for many hundreds of years and is part of the city centre’s commercial success. Taking part in the consultation will help secure its future and I urge people to come along and give their views.”
Anyone wanting to take part should visit the mobile at Newgate Market, every day until Sunday, from 9am until 4.30pm. You can also participate online at york.gov.uk or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
