A CELEBRATION of beer is to return to Malton in March – bigger and better than its debut last year.

Beertown will be staged by two microbreweries from the town at the Milton Rooms on Friday, March 20, and Saturday, March 21, with an added preview day on the Thursday.

“Malton’s own Bad Seed and Brass Castle breweries will again showcase the best beers from around the UK, alongside live music and some fabulous food offerings,” said spokesman Phil Saltonstall.

He said last year’s event featured more than 30 outstanding beers from across the UK and headline music from The Lumberjack Cowboy Heartbreak Trucking Company.

Tickets for this year’s event will be available shortly at £5 each, which includes a refundable £2 glass deposit, from the Milton Rooms and through brasscastle.co.uk and beertownmalton.co.uk

All proceeds go to the Ryedale Special Families, which supports families of children and youngsters with disabilities and special needs.
