THEY'LL be going wild in one of York's newest pubs next Wednesday (February 17).
Pavement Vaults, the large new bar on the corner of Piccadilly and Coppergate, is hosting its first "tap takeover" event - showcasing a range of beers from the highly-respected Wild Beer Co of Somerset, and matching them with food from their own kitchen.
Manager Sam Wheatley said: "As a company we do a lot of work with Wild Beer. This is our first "meet the brewer" night and tap takeover, and because it's such a diverse brewery it's perfect for food pairing.
"They do some really interesting beers, as their name depicts. They are summarising everything that's good about the beer movement at the moment - combining new concepts with classic brewing techniques and interesting flavours."
There will be five Wild beers on tap: Bibble on cask, alongside Millionaire, Fresh, Epic Saison and Evolver on keg.
Entry is free and there will be free nibbles to try before you buy on the food front.
Sam says the event is open to everyone and says similar evenings will be held every two months on average."
