TREBOOM Brewery, at Shipton-by-Beningbrough just north of York, has teamed with a bread-maker in the village to create a new beer bread.
John and Jane from the brewery have joined forces with the Amos & Welsh microbakery, and free samples are available this Saturday.
Using stoneground flour, organic yeast and Treboom's Kettle Drum bitter, Amos & Welsh created a rustic loaf with a rye and ale crust.
Treboom say the beer adds extra maltiness and richness to the dough - making it ideal for a cheddar ploughman's, or with a hearty vegetable soup.
Jane Blackman from Treboom said: "This is a true handcrafted artisan loaf made with top quality ingredients. The flour is made from British-grown wheat and the beer brewed using locally malted barley and water from our own supply."
Ashley Welsh from the bakery said: "This collaboration is all about looking at traditional processes and working with other like-minded producers to produce high quality food and drink on a small scale, packed with flavour."
Samples are available at Treboom Brewery, opposite The Dawnay Arms pub in Shipton-by-Beningbrough, from noon to 4pm on Saturday.
There will also be a free brewery tour and beer tastings. If you can't make it today, look out for the loaves at Dooleys of Easingwold, The Fruit Basket in Boroughbridge and the Stillington Shop.
