A VILLAGE between York and Selby will this month host its fifth annual beer and music festival, in aid of the village institute.

Stillingfleet's event has been a popular fixture in the local calendar in recent years, attracting beer enthusiasts from near and far.

This year's event will be from noon onwards on Saturday, May 16, and will include around a dozen hand-pulled ales as well as cider, perry, wine and soft drinks. There will also be live music and food available.

Breweries represented this year will include Ainsty Ales, Brown Cow, Collingham, Great Heck, Hop Studio, Rudgate and Treboom.

The festival is in the Village Institute, which is is on the Arriva 42 bus route between York and Selby and the 422 Utopia bus route between York and South Milford.

Admission is £5, which includes a souvenir glass, programme and drink voucher.

Proceeds will again help maintain the fabric of the building. This year's is billed as the "Another brick in the wall" festival.
