THIS light-hearted book started life as a Radio 4 play and reveals the fictional weekly letters of Her Majesty the Queen to Sir Jeremy Scrimgeour, one of her private secretaries.
These cover the last 18 months and reveals what she thinks to politicians; the Olympic Games opening ceremony and the part she played in it; being in the Sunday Times Rich List and her love of horse racing.
She also shares her thoughts about family and the role that Prince Philip plays.
It is an amusing book that brings a smile to the face and yet it is a reminder of what life is like today and specifically in 2012 when the Jubilee and the Olympics made it such a memorable time.
The author is a weekly columnist for the Independent and has written five novels.
