About this neighbourhood

The North Yorkshire policing area of Selby District (Rural) covers the wards of Appleton Roebuck, Barlby, Camblesforth, Cawood with Wistow, Eggborough, Fairburn with Brotherton, Hambleton, Hemingbrough, Monk Fryston and South Milford, North Duffield, Riccall with Escrick, Saxton and Ulleskelf, Sherburn in Elmet, Tadcaster East, Tadcaster West and Whitley. Each area has a team of police officers and police community support officers, who are dedicated to their areas, working solely with their communities. I have encouraged them all to engage with you and to attempt to learn from you what your priorities are for your policing team. Having agreed these priorities we will then work with our partners, e.g. Selby District Council and North Yorkshire Fire Service, to deliver a solution. These will be published both here and by other means. We have set up police surgeries in your areas and have placed police letter boxes in various local locations, such as post offices, where you can leave us information as to the current problems you would wish us to tackle. Our mobile police offices will call in your area. Please use these facilities to inform us of what you wish us to address.
