SCREEN superstar Dame Joan Collins will play the Grand Opera House, York, on September 19 in her intimate one-woman show Joan Collins Unscripted.

The London-born actress and author will reveal exciting stories and secrets from her long career and will hold a question-and-answer session with the chance to ask the Hollywood legend questions about her life and roles on stage and screen.

Dame Joan, who will turn 85 on May 23, is best known for playing Alexis Carrington in Dynasty. In 1981, she was offered a role in the second season of the then-struggling new American soap opera as the beautiful and vengeful ex-wife of tycoon Blake Carrington (John Forsythe). Bolstered by her presence, the show went on to rival Dallas in the ratings.

In 2015, Collins was made a dame for services to charity. Since the late 1970s, she has written several books on beauty and autobiographical works and published her first novel, Prime Time, in 1988.

Tickets for her 7.30pm show will go on sale on Wednesday at 10am at £39.75 upwards on 0844 871 3024 or at atgtickets.com/york
