ROWNTREE Players are on the lookout for actors of all abilities to audition for their spring production of Alan Ayckbourn's 1975 comedy Bedroom Farce.

"If you’ve any resolutions to hit the stage in 2018, then the perfect opportunity is on the horizon," says the Players' invitation to step forward. "Rowntree Players, York’s oldest performing theatre company, are auditioning for their new production of Bedroom Farce, a hilarious and touching play by Alan Ayckbourn, in which a highly strung couple wreak havoc in the bedrooms of three other couples during a single night.

"Whether you’re a veteran of the theatre, or want to try it for the first time, all are encouraged to come along and audition; you just need to be a playing age of 25 to 60."

The auditions will take place at Door 84, at 84 Lowther Street, in The Groves, York, on Thursday, January 18 from 7.30pm. Bedroom Farce will be staged at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre, York, from April 12 to 14, with tickets for the 7.30pm performances on sale at £10 on 01904 501935 or at josephrowntreetheatre.co.uk/eventids/1014.
