STRICTLY Come Dancing stars Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec lead the cast for Remembering Fred, a celebration of Fred Astaire and the golden age of Hollywood's most celebrated dance routines, at the Grand Opera House, York, tomorrow.
This new show from the producer of Darcey Bussell & Katherine Jenkins' Viva La Diva features classics from the American Songbook, written by George & Ira Gershwin, Irving Berlin and Cole Porter, brought to dramatic life by musicians, singers and dancers in a song-and-dance tribute to Astaire.
The evening of top hat, white tie and wonderful tales includes audio of famous Astaire fans talking about his impact on Hollywood’s golden days. Tickets for the 7.30pm performance are selling well but seats remain available at atgtickets.com/york or on 0844 871 3024.
