1. Cinderella at York Theatre Royal

York’s traditional pantomime is in the Theatre Royal, after a one-year sojourn at the National Railway Museum. Berwick Kaler is in charge, with pals David Leonard and Susie Cooper but without the injured Martin Barrass. Runs until January 28, Monday to Saturday. 2. Aladdin at Grand Opera House, York

3. Dick Whittington at Harrogate Theatre

4. Sleeping Beauty at Leeds City Varieties

A “rock n roll panto” with actors playing in the band as well as playing their parts, with pop and soul hits played live on stage. Runs until January 8. Box office 0113 2430808 or www.cityvarieties.co.uk

5. Aladdin at Scarborough Spa Theatre

Aladdin and the traditional characters of Wishy Washy, Widow Twankey, Princess Jasmine and the Genie. Runs until January 1. Box office 01723 376774 or www.scarboroughspa.co.uk

6. Cinderella at the Three Crowns Theatre, Hull

Panto meets rugby in this theatre at the KC Lightstream Stadium in Hull, and Cinderella stars Linda Lusardi as The Wicked Stepmother, along with Zippy and George from Rainbow, and Postman Pat. Runs to January 1. Box office 01482 963199 or www.thecrownstheatre.com

7. Mother Goose at Hull City Hall

8. Jack and the Beanstalk at the Milton Rooms, Malton

Peter Melia is back as director for this traditional panto, produced by Malton and Norton’s amateur Musical Theatre group. Runs January 20 to January 28 (but not on the 22nd). Box office at www.mnmt.org.uk

9. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves at Bridlington Spa

Ann Widdicombe, the “right honourable Strictly star” has the role of the Wicked Queen and will be on stage with returning co-stars Simon Grant and Joe Standerline. Runs to January 2. Box office 01262 678258 or www.thespabridlington.com

10. Cinderella at Leeds Carriageworks

11. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves at The Tetley, Leeds
