BBC Look North presenter Harry Gration will be on trial on Wednesday in York and could lose his tongue if the verdict goes against him.
King Alfred the Great will put the York broadcasting legend in the dock in the 10.30am Horrible Histories performance of Incredible Invaders at the Grand Opera House, where he will undergo trial, not by jury, but by ordeal. Guilty or not, he may have his tongue cut out in the Birmingham Stage Company show.
The Horrible Histories productions of Incredible Invaders and Groovy Greeks will combine storytelling actors with 3D Booglevision in performances running from Tuesday to Saturday.
Tickets can be booked on 0844 871 3024 or at atgtickets.com/york
