HOW The Koala Learnt To Hug will be presented by The People's Theatre Company at Pocklington Arts Centre on April 30 at 3pm.

Adapted from Steven Lee’s collection of short stories, published under the title How The Koala Learnt To Hug and Other Australian Fairytales, the stage version was written especially for parents to enjoy with their children.

In this charming new musical about the magic of family and the importance of a nice, warm hug, Steven Lee is joined by a host of wild characters such as Natascha the Witch, the Reggae Beavers and Karen the Koala for stories, singalong songs, games and "first-class hugging". "All you need are your ears and your arms," he says, inviting you to discover how the mostly cuddly of marsupial creatures learned how to tree-hug.

Tickets cost £6 on 01759 301547 or at pocklingtonartscentre.co.uk
