SIMON Barry's New Pantomime Productions will present Jack And The Beanstalk as its 17th Grand Opera House pantomime in a row in York.
The cast will be announced at a later date for a pantomime that was last staged by Mr Barry in York from December 2008 to January 2009.
The Grand Opera House promises "the best family panto in York" in a "fun-packed show with crazy costumes, silly jokes, live music and a chance to boo the baddies".
This is the one where Jack lives in a small village with his Ma; they are very poor and when they look in the kitchen cupboards for food, all they can find is a piece of mouldy cheese, a rotten apple core and a pair of smelly socks. They must do something, but what? Find out what happens when Jack takes their old cow to the market and ends up selling her for five beans.
Jack And The Beanstalk will run from December 11 2015 to January 3 2016. Tickets go on sale at 10am today on 0844 871 3024, at atgtickets.com/york and at the box office, 12 noon to 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday.
