MOSCOW City Ballet returns to York Barbican tomorrow to perform Swan Lake for the first time in York since February 2012.
From Russia with a dynamic orchestra come the refined young dancers from Moscow, who will present the story of Prince Siegfried’s love for Odette to Tchaikovsky’s celebrated score. Tricked by the evil sorcerer Von Rothbart and his daughter Odile, Odette would rather die together with the prince than live apart.
Lavish sets and beautiful costumes complement the innovative choreography of one-time Bolshoi Ballet soloist Victor Smirnov-Golovanov in performances at 7.30pm tomorrow and 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets are on sale on 0844 854 2757 or online at yorkbarbican.co.uk
