TADCASTER Theatre Company will be performing surely the earliest of this season's pantomimes when they stage Robin Hood at the Riley Smith Hall, Tadcaster, from November 19 to 22.
The production team comprises director Angela Edwards and musical director James Rodgers, who has injected an upbeat modern score of current pop hits and classics, ranging from Happy to Stand And Deliver and Holding Out For A Hero. Expect many more popular song and dance routines and an audidence singalong.
The cast is drawn from York, Tadcaster, Sherburn-in-Elmet, Wetherby, Towton, Barkston Ash and Ulleskelf, and one family will be making a particularly big contribution: the Fletchers from Towton. Husband Peter will be the Sheriff; wife Beverly, the Soothsayer; and daughter Alicia, Scarlet, after playing Susan in White Christmas and appearing at the Grand Opera House, York, in Annie!.
Performances on the first three days will start at 7.30pm, while the Saturday shows will be at 12 noon and 4pm to give families the opportunity to bring children of all ages. Tickets can be booked on 07877 691259 or boxoffice@tadcastertheatrecompany.org
