PICKERING Musical Society’s 2015 pantomime at the Kirk Theatre, Pickering, will be Snow White And Her Seven Dwarfs.

David Tester once again will be in the producer’s chair for the show that runs from January 17 to 24.

A read-through of the script on Tuesday, September 2 at 7.30pm will be open to all. David will then hold open auditions on September 9 and 10 at 7.30pm and he is inviting all potential princes, dwarves, village folk and wicked stepmothers to attend.

Snow White is David’s fourth panto production with Pickering Musical Society. The previous three, Cinderella, Dick Whittington and Beauty And The Beast, all proved popular with some sell-out audiences.

“It’s a real pleasure to be directing panto again,” he says. “I’ve been fortunate to work with some very talented local people, who work hard to ensure that we put on a great show. I’m sure that this year will be no exception.”

David would welcome new faces to the cast.

“Even if you have never sung or acted before, please consider joining us,” he says. “We’ll ensure that you’re supported and encouraged and I’m sure you’ll enjoy yourself.”

Alan P Frayn has written the panto and is firmly established as one of the most popular present-day pantomime writers.

As entertainment director at Alton Towers, Alan wrote and directed all productions there for six years. Subsequently, he has created professional pantomimes and story-based ice shows for performances all over the world.

Alan likes to add a personal touch to groups that perform his pantos and he has sent David a message wishing him luck with the production, saying he is happy to offer advice or support in whatever way he can.

If you are interested in being in the panto but cannot make the September dates, leave David a message on the theatre line 01751 474833. Tickets go on sale from Tuesday, September 2; the box office is open between 11am and 2pm every Tuesday.
