THE Stephen Joseph Theatre is offering more chances to see its summer productions by opening its doors on Sundays during this month.

Matinee performances of the new musical adaptation of Alan Ayckbourn’s The Boy Who Fell Into A Book will be presented in The Round on August 17 and 31. The comedy musical Cox & Box – Mrs Bouncer’s Legacy, an adaptation of Sir Arthur Sullivan’s surreal farce with a new satirical sequel by Chris Monks and Richard Atkinson, can be seen in the McCarthy this Sunday and on August 24. All shows start at 3pm.

Artistic director Chris Monks says: "Hopefully these additional performances will allow and encourage more people to make it to the theatre and it means they can see a play at the SJT on any day of the week.”

Sunday tickets for each play, priced from £10 to £21.50, are on sale on 01723 370541 or at sjt.uk.com
