THE classic story of Pinocchio will be told in York in a new theatre production this summer.
The We Are Theatre company will put on a musical version of the show at Joseph Rowntree Theatre from June 25 to 28. Ten-year-old Sam Roberts has landed the lead role, having last been seen playing Michael Darling in Peter Pan at the Grand Opera House last November.
The family show features original music by Dennis Westgate and the script has been adapted by Donna Riley and Charlotte Gray.
